1. Agreeing to these terms
When you create an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use TravelBuddy247. You need to be 18 or older to have an account.
2. What we provide — and what we don't
TravelBuddy247 introduces people. We help you discover others nearby, send a connection request, and start talking once you both accept. That's the service — the rest is up to you and the people you meet.
We're building the platform actively, so features can change, launch, or be removed, and the service won't always be available. We don't promise uptime, and we can't guarantee you'll find a companion, a match, or airport help.
3. Keeping your account honest
Trust is the whole point, so we ask a few things of you:
- Be real. Use your true identity and accurate information — fake profiles aren't allowed.
- Don't impersonate anyone, or use someone else's photos without their consent.
- Your account is yours. Keep your login private — you're responsible for everything that happens under it.
- When you meet someone in person, your safety decisions are your own.
4. What's not allowed
Some things get an account removed immediately, without warning:
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation
- Scams, fraud, or asking people for money
- Sharing sexual content without explicit consent
- Anything illegal — including human trafficking or exploitation
- Impersonating another person
- Misusing the report or block tools
- Scraping, bots, or automated access
5. Meeting people in real life
We introduce people — what happens when you meet is up to you. We don't vet, background-check, or supervise members, and we're not responsible for how anyone behaves offline. You meet other people entirely at your own risk.
A few habits keep you safer: meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your instincts. Please read our Safety Guide before you meet anyone.
6. AirportBuddy
AirportBuddy is for public airport-area guidance only — helping someone find check-in, a gate, or their way around. It is not a private ride, off-airport accompaniment, unofficial airport service, transport, banking, immigration, medical, or emergency service. Helpers are fellow travellers, not airport or airline staff, and they are not background-checked.
You're responsible for following every airport, airline, visa, and travel rule that applies to you. We connect people, but we don't guarantee anyone's identity, behaviour, travel outcome, or that official assistance will be provided. Use AirportBuddy at your own judgment, and keep all help inside public airport areas.
7. Budget Stays and Community Stays
Budget Stays and Community Stays are a preview for now — booking and payments aren't live, and every Community Stay submission is manually reviewed before it can go public. Never send money to anyone outside TravelBuddy247's official payment flow. We are not a licensed accommodation provider or letting agent.
8. Content you post
Your content stays yours. By posting it, you give us permission to display it inside the platform so we can run the service — nothing more. It's a non-exclusive licence, and it ends when you remove the content or your account.
9. Removing accounts
We can suspend or permanently remove any account that breaks these terms, without prior notice. Where it's fair and safe to do so, we'll tell you why.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top, and continuing to use TravelBuddy247 after that means you accept the new version.
11. Improving matching and safety
We work to make our matching and safety systems better over time. Using your data to improve matching is entirely optional: it's an opt-in toggle in your profile settings, off by default, reversible whenever you want, and never required to use TravelBuddy247. When it's on, the data is pseudonymized and never includes your name, email, photos, or private messages. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly how it works.
12. Emails and notifications
We'll send you the emails that keep your account working — things like verification, password resets, and match or AirportBuddy notifications. Optional reminders, such as unread-message nudges, can be switched off any time under Notification preferences in your profile. We may still send critical account and security emails when they matter. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
